Story

Riding a horse is not a gentle hobby, to be picked up and laid down like a game of solitaire. It is a grand passion. It seizes a person whole and once it has done so, he will have to accept that his life will be radically changed. He is Ibrahim, Horse riding is his passion and only source of income. Jockeys are paid on a per mount (race) basis. The total gets divided among the top five finishers.

I am absolutely thrilled to be awarded in next generation categories this year! I am inspired to continue to work hard to capture how I see the beauty that surrounds us. Have won the Next generation category with my image “Child Jockey”. I want to thank the jury, it's really exciting to see that my work has been selected among so many talented photographers. And congratulations to all other winners and nominees.
