Story
My wife's mother touches her daughters face at the moment she recognized her. Diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease, her memory had all but faded with our visits. On this night, as soon as my wife sat down next to her, she called out my wife's name, then looked at me taking the photo, then forgot who my wife was. Her mother passed away this morning at 3 a.m., October 31, 2022.

I am honored that this photo has been recognized for its worth. I am touched, as well as excited to have been chosen by everyone involved with this contest. Most of all, this experience of living life with someone with Alzheimer's has changed my perspective on how I look at life now and how I capture moments in life thru my camera. I want to thank you all so very much.
