Through the works of Mourning of Ancient Shrine, what I most want to convey is the mourning for the disappearing ancient buildings. With the name of Zhu Shrine, it is located in Banqiao Village, Shaoyang City of Hunan Province which was built around the Tao-kuang and Xianfeng sovereignty in the Qing Dynasty. It was in 2003 when the first shooting was made that the whole building remained quite intact, and many visitors came for sightseeing. As the time goes by, the Shrine is going through the downfall, and my feelings are getting much heavier every time I come here for shooting. The hall is overgrown with weeds, and the houses turn into broken walls amid ruins with the dense smoke seen rising from the factories nearby from time to time. At the sight of the declining ancient building and those helpless citizens, my desire for the works was triggered through which I want to strike a chord for the society.
Every year I will come here to shoot the buildings, scenery and figures, and only in the recent shootings do these photos come into life. The photos are re-arranged by Photoshop with more originality embedded in. With the name of Zhu Shrine, it is located in Banqiao Village, Shaoyang City of Hunan Province which was built around the Tao-kuang and Xianfeng sovereignty in the Qing Dynasty. I will shoot more works of this topic and through my works, I wish to convey the significance of protecting the ancient buildings.

《古祠之殇》这组作品主要表达我对即将消失的古建筑的一种伤痛之情。该祠堂名叫朱家祠堂，坐落在湖南省邵阳市板桥乡，约建于清朝道光— 咸丰年间 。记得第一次去拍摄时是2003年，当时整个建筑保留的还算完整，来这里参观的人还很多 。时间一年一年过去，祠堂也一年不如一年，每次去拍摄时，我的心情一次比一次沉重。现在的祠堂大院内杂草丛生，房屋成了残垣断壁，旁边的工厂不时还冒着浓烟。看着这座破落的古建筑，那些无奈的百姓，让我产生了要创作这组作品，让社会一起共鸣。

每年我都会到这里来拍摄建筑、风光和人物，在最近的几次摄影中，才创作出这组照片。后期使用Photoshop软件进行重新组合和创意。该祠堂名叫朱家祠堂，坐落在湖南省邵阳市板桥乡，约建于清朝道光— 咸丰年间 。以后还会拍摄更多这种题材的作品，想通过我的作品，向社会传达保护古建筑的重要意义。
